Welcome to my about me page.
I am Nicola Perry and am a counsellor & supervisor. I offer counselling to individuals and couples to both in the UK and Europe. I have particular interest in helping individuals and couples understand their relationships they have with both themselves and others and have a wide experience of working with clients or have experienced stress or anxiety problems .
My practice is built on trust, honesty and understanding where your goals are at the heart of our work. I hope to create a safe environment for you to work through your past hurts which may have led to self-limiting beliefs and a feelings which are uncomfortable to bear. My aim is to support you to connect with your deeper thoughts, feelings and beliefs and empower you to make positive changes which will help you to find freedom from what is troubling you now.
My core approach is Person Centred but I integrate other modalities into my practice which include Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal, Mindfulness, Solution Focused & Motivational Interviewing based on needs and requirements of the person and situation.
I am a mindfulness teacher and I have been personally using meditation & mindfulness practices to benefit my own well-being for over ten years.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and individual member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and am fully insured.
On a Personal Note
I have a passion for fragrance and scent and I think this grew out of my past work as aromatherapist and as a retailer for Japanese incense. I am an avid day tripper and thoroughly enjoy exploring new places especially if there is a welcome pit stop for food along the way. As time has gone on I have realised life for me is not about getting everything right its about being alright with what it is, which has allowed me to accept me and all my qualities and flaws in equal measure.
